Photo Gallery ~ Autumn 2008 Now (Click thumbnails for enlargements--Scroll to the bottom for first entry on this page) Do chickens like sunflower seeds? Yes they do. In fact, they will eat most anything I give them. Here the girls are enjoying an overcast fall day. September 13, 2008 - The Girls The girls aren't changing much anymore in appearance. The Light Brahma doesn't weigh as much as the others but since this breed takes up to two years to fully mature, I figure she has time. In the picture below, her beak is open--she is always talking (squawking is more like it). Here is Blind Chick's new nest--the top of the shavings bail. Her one-eye handicap makes her choose an open space to nest--better than the floor. Since she lays so many eggs, she can put them anywhere she wants!
