Here's the pond in April 2009 - 11 years old. This is a rainy day and the Japanese Maple droops down with the weight of water making a lovely scene. Wisteria blooms overhead.

The fish continue to thrive.

We culled one fish this year. Donated him or her to the UC Davis folks that study fish diseases. In this case they wanted fish with Carp Pox. We (and the student who picked up the fish) thought it had the pox, but early tests were negative. The school got a fish to study.
