Fish
They are not just fish! They are Koi--Japanese Carp. Put a mixed group in the water and you have sparkling jewels.
There are lots of web sites that will educate you about Koi. Here you'll see pretty pictures of koi. None of these fish are prize winners and all were purchased as 4-5" babies for less than $10 each. They are considered "pond quality" fish, but are beautiful just the same.
Many of them are the long fin variety, sometimes called Butterfly Koi. Koi officionados don't yet consider long fins to be "real" koi, but I love the way they float through the water, and I would have only Butterflies if I could find them in the color patterns I like.
