Construction

We first decided to build a pond after attending a pond tour sponsored by the Camellia Koi Club of Sacramento. On the tour we saw one pond in particular that we liked and it just happened to have been owned and build by Doug Peccianti of Aquatic Designs, Sacramento.

We did quite a bit of research about pond building on the internet and decided there was a lot more to it than we wanted to learn. Seems like most folks start out making mistakes that cost them time, money and fish. We decided to hire an expert to get it done right the first time.

The pond we built is really a small gunnite swimming pool with a biological filter--it needed a building permit in our area and architectual drawings. But it has greatly improved our property value and is truly a must-see stop on any tour through our garden. Would we do it again? Yes!

See the specifications at the link at the top of he page. The links at the left will lead you through the 7-month construction project.
