Construction - Curing
The new concrete is
supposed to be wet down 3 to 4 times per day--more if daytime temps are
over 90 degrees.
Naturally, we had a heat wave at the end of September. This rather ugly patchwork of old towels helped a little, but they didn't take long to dry out in 100 degree weather. Our gratitude goes out to Sue, a dear friend who stopped by on the hottest days to water the towels while we were at work. Fortunately the concrete cured just fine with no cracks.
